  •  Paul Crowley, S.J.

    Paul Crowley, S.J. (Religious Studies) was quoted on KPIX CBS5 and in the Los Angeles Times about the recent commentary from Pope Francis regarding Catholic priorities. 

  •  Kirk Hanson

     Kirk Hanson (Markkula) talked to the New York Times about ethical issues confronting would-be whistleblowers. He also was a guest on KLIV Inside Silicon Valley about the origins of the Markkula Center, and he was quoted in the Arizona Republic about potential conflicts of interest involving the opening of a Goodwill store.

     John Kohler (CSTS) was quoted in an Associated Press story about microlending in Silicon Valley, which appeared in more than 140 sites or publications including the Washington Post, St. Paul Pioneer Press, CBS Moneywatch, and the Houston Chronicle.

  •  Solar Decathlon Team

     SCU’s entry in the Solar Decathlon was mentioned in stories in the Orange County Register,’s Walking feature; Fast Company’s co.exist blog; blog; and

    A talk by Tom Massaro, S.J. (JST) on the subject of effective social ministry was featured in Catholic San Francisco.

    Jerry Burger (Psychology) was mentioned in a Boston Globe feature on the Milgram experiments updated by Prof. Burger. 

  •  Pat Cain

     Pat Cain (Law) was quoted in widely republished Bloomberg story about the coming tax headaches for same-sex married couples. 

  •  Steve Diamond

     Steve Diamond (Law) was quoted in U.S. News & World Report on the question of whether law school ought to be a two-year program,  and in MarketWatch about Apple’s management. 

  •  Eric Goldman

     Eric Goldman (Law) was a guest on NYC’s public radio station, discussing California’s “eraser button” law requiring online companies to remove records at the request of minors, a topic he also discussed in a widely cited Forbes op-ed. He discussed “revenge porn” laws in a widely republished New York Times story, in a Forbes op-ed, and in ABA Journal.  He wrote an article about anti-spam lawsuits for CircleID, was quoted in GigaOM about Facebook privacy settlements, and in MarketWatch about Yelp.

     John Ifcher’s (Economics) study on the happiness of single mothers was detailed in a story in Huffington Post, and mentioned in a  story in
