    Tammy Fox (Graduate Business Programs) was quoted in an article by US News & World Report about what business majors should consider before pursuing an MBA.

    Shannon Vallor (Philosophy) was quoted in a Washington Post article about the ethics of hackers releasing personal information about members of the Ferguson police force.

    Andy Tsay (OMIS) was quoted in a New York Times story about issues surrounding Chinese factory workers’ working conditions.of the Ferguson police force. 

  •  Hana Callaghan

    Hana Callaghan (Markkula) was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle about campaign ethics regarding  Oakland Mayor Jean Quan sending campaign emails to city employee municipal accounts. The story ran in two other online outlets.

    Gordon Young (Communication) did several interviews about his book Teardown: Memoir of A Vanishing City; about efforts to fight blight in Michigan; and about his crowdfunding campaign to tear down an abandoned home in a Flint neighborhood. He spoke with NPR’s Michigan Radio, WKAR, ABC12,NBC,  and MLive. He also was quoted in a column in MLive about t-shirts promoting the violent reputation of Flint, MI. 

  •  Ryan Holmes

    Ryan Holmes (Markkula)  and Irina Raicu (Markkula) wrote an op-ed that ran in the San Jose Mercury News and at least two other outlets, about the selling of medical data. Holmes was also quoted in the Daily News about hospitals monitoring their patients credit card data to predict sickness.  Raicu was also quoted in the Silicon Valley Business Journal about tech companies releasing diversity data of its employees. Several other outlets picked up the story including the Austin Business Journal, Jacksonville Business Journal, Malaysia Sun and Cambodian Times.

    Dorothy Glancy (Law) was quoted in the Baltimore Sun about car manufacturers and driver privacy.

  •  Rose Marie Beebe

    Rose Marie Beebe (Modern Language and Literatures) was quoted in an article by Digital Journal about Toypurina, California’s first woman rebel. The article also highlights the book she co-authored with Robert Senkewicz (History), Chronicles of Early California, 1535 -1846, Lands of Promise and Despair.
