  •  Gary Macy

    Gary Macy (Religious Studies) was quoted in a National Catholic Reporter story about inherent  tensions between theologians and bishops, over issues such as Church orthodoxy and academic exploration.  A review of his book Women Deacons, by Elizabeth Drescher (Religious Studies) ran in Religion Dispatches.

  •  Laura Ellingson

    Laura Ellingson (Women & Gender/Communication)  was quoted in a story that ran inHuffington Post and Undecided, about the role of gender and socialization when it comes to advancing oneself in the workplace.

  •  Kirthi Kalyanam

    Kirthi Kalyanam (Marketing) was quoted in a Contra Costa Times story, carried by two dozen other publications, on the rise of e-gift cards in the 2011 holiday season. 

  •  Hersh Shefrin

    Hersh Shefrin (Finance) was quoted in a Reuters story, which ran in three dozen additional papers including the New York Times and the International Business Times, about how Americans are slowly decreasing their debt. He was also a guest on Israel National News, discussing behavioral impacts on investing.

  •  Meir Statman

    Meir Statman (Finance) was quoted in numerous stories about the impact of behavior on investing, including one in the New York Times about financial strategies for the new year, as well as stories in MintLife, WISC-TV, Investment Postcards from Cape Town, Taiwan News Online, and

  •  Jerry Uelmen

    Jerry Uelmen (Law) was quoted in a Chicago Tribune story about an expected increase in funding for videotaping interrogations of crime suspects, and in an Associated Press story, picked up by 28  outlets, about debates over the California death penalty.

  •  Fred Foldvary

    Fred Foldvary (Economics) was cited in the Cato Institute’s Cato Journal for having predicted the housing bubble and consequent recession.

  •  Eric Goldman

    Eric Goldman (Law) was a guest on the KQED Forum show about “who owns your Tweets?” He was quoted in numerous other tech-law stories, including several about important pending changes in copyright law in, the San Jose Mercury News,  and in a lengthy article in Techdirt, which also mentioned the High Tech Law Institute’s recent copyright conference.  He also alked to KGO-TV about a lawsuit over Facebook's practice of posting when a person "likes" a website or other property, without the user's express consent.

  •  Kirk Hanson

    Kirk Hanson (Markkula) was quoted in Our Sunday Visitor about the role consumers can play in changing corporate behavior. 

  •  Dale Achabal

    Dale Achabal (Marketing) was quoted on KGO-TV about an app that tries to lure shoppers in stores to buy products cheaper at Amazon.
