Alexander FieldAlexander Field (Economics) was interviewed in the TV studio of The Economist.com, about the counterintuitive premise of his book, A Great Leap Forward, which showed that the 1930s, not WWII, were the years when US productivity most advanced. Also, an oped he wrote for the McClatchy chain of papers about how Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme was picked up in 72 different publications that subscribe to McClatchy’s syndicate, from the 290,000-circulation Kansas City Sunday Star, the Sacramento Bee (280,000) and the Atlanta Journal Constitution (181,000).
