A veteran attorney specializing in start-up companies, Laura Lee Norris, has been named founding director of the new Entrepreneur's Law Clinic.

Applications are being sought for up to 35 California-based enterprises to receive six months of intensive entrepreneurship training led by Santa Clara University business school faculty. The program,which begins in June, is the 4th annual California Program for Entrepreneurship, or CAPE.

On March 26 and March 27 the Supreme Court will hear challenges to California's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriages, Prop. 8, and to the federal Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law that forbids the U.S. government from recognizing same-sex marriage. Experts from the Santa Clara University School of Law are available to discuss both cases.
