Santa Clara Recognized Nationally for Campus Beauty

Newsweek and The Daily Beast Rank Santa Clara University Second Most Beautiful School in the Country

In their  “2012’s Best Colleges For You,” guide, Newsweek and The Daily Beast ranked America’s colleges in 25 different categories to help students find the best fit. Things like affordability, political bent, and social life were among the many attributes evaluated. Santa Clara landed in second place for “the schools that have it all—a picturesque campus, an attractive student body, and consistently bright weather.”

With a 110-acre campus lined with hundreds of rose bushes, beautiful gardens and the historic Santa Clara Mission, it's no wonder students gave SCU a 9.3 out of 10 in aesthetics in the survey. The University prides itself in preserving the history of California's oldest operating institute of higher education by maintaining as much as possible of the original materials and architecture in the campus buildings. The mission campus also focuses on sustainability with a “zero waste by 2020” goal set at the recreation center.

Please see the rankings below and feel free to look through the photos on the University’s Facebook page for some of the stunning views of the SCU campus.
