In the first year, the Fall session focuses on Effective Teams and Managerial Excellence, Accounting Practices for Effective Decisions, and Managerial Economics for Business Decisions. The Winter intersession (six weeks) addresses Ethics and the Global Marketplace, and Macroeconomic Theory and Policy.
Spring session includes Financial Management and Investment Analysis, Computer Based Decision Models and Effective Operations Management, and Marketing Analysis and Strategy. Summer session involves Macroeconomics and Global Business Strategies.
In the last 10 months of the Accelerated MBA program, the Fall and Winter sessions allow for a selection of marketing or finance electives. There are also options to explore additional concentrations by transferring to the evening program.
The global trip is a required component of the integrated curriculum. Faculty and students visit corporate headquarters and government agencies to understand how business is handled. Past trips have been taken to Korea and Switzerland. This year the cohort will visit Chile for one week in August.
