OSCAR Unavailable for System Upgrade, Tue, June 17
OSCAR will be unavailable all day, Tuesday, June 17 for a software upgrade.
OneSearch will be available for searching, but real-time status updates on OSCAR records and the "Find it @ SCU" links will not be available.
LINK+ will also be available for searching, but real-time status updates and requesting will not be available.

Saturday, Aug. 18 - Sunday, Aug. 19 : Library Closed Due to Facilities Issue
The Learning Commons, Technology Center, and Library will be closed all day on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19 to deal with a facilities issue. There is a possibility for a full or partial closure on Monday, Aug. 20 as well. Please check back here or call 408-554-4415 for the most up to date information.
ARS Unscheduled Downtime, Thursday, May 3
Due to a network hardware failure in the University data center, the servers that control the ARS are currently unavailable.
Information Technology is working on the issue.
Unplanned OSCAR Downtime, 6 a.m., Tuesday, December 6
There will be a brief, unplanned downtime for the OSCAR server around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6.
The server will be completely unavailable for 5-15 minutes.
During that time, all of the follwing services will be unavailable:
- OSCAR searching
- My Library Account
- Access to Library databases
- Interlibrary Loan
- LINK+ requesting
- ARS requesting
Information Technology will post any updates to the Technology Status Page.
ARS Crane #1 Currently Out of Service.
Crane #1 in the ARS is currently out of service due to a mechanical fault. Local staff and vendor support are working to resolve the issue and expect to have service restored by COB Saturday.
Requests for ARS items that are in aisle 2 or 3 will not be impacted.

OSCAR, ERes, & ARS Downtime for Storage Upgrades: Fri 9 p.m. - Sat 2 a.m.
From 9 p.m. Friday, April 8 through 2 a.m. Saturday, April 9, there will be a night of downtime for OSCAR, ERes, and the ARS servers. IT will be updating the drivers on the storage area network (SAN) to which these servers are attached.
During the outage time the following services will not be available:
- ARS requesting
- OSCAR simple search
- OSCAR authentication, including access to remote databases via the proxy server
