Academic ProgramsThe Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University located in Berkeley, California is one of the two Jesuit theological centers in the United States operated by the Society of Jesus. Aware of its own unique geographical and demographic location, the Jesuit School is an international center for the culturally contextualized study of theology and ministry, and admits students from all over the world. The Jesuit School is accredited by the Vatican Congregation of Catholic Education as an Ecclesiastical Faculty of Theology, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the American Association of Theological Schools. JST faculty are well-published scholars with national and international reputations. Faithful to the Catholic tradition, they prepare students for today's multi-cultural world and Church. Faculty teach students how to think critically about theology and how to live a faith that does justice serving the Church. Students have access to professors in all fields of theology and related disciplines at Santa Clara University, including ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. |
