Rob McChesney, S.J., serves as Director of the New Directions Sabbatical Program. He has served as a Jesuit priest for over 25 years. Rob is a former prison chaplain in a federal immigration detention center; director of the Jesuit Refugee Service in the United States; and university chaplain in a major urban area. He has wide experience in spiritual formation and direction, as well as leadership development within an intercultural framework. Samantha Sandoval is the program assistant for the New Directions Sabbatical Program as well as the Intercultural Initiatives Program. She is from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Santa Clara University in 2006 with a B.S. in Political Science. When not at JST, Samantha can be found in the library completing her M.A. in Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy from Tufts University.
