Liturgical Life and Spirituality

Liturgical prayer is another traditional means of carrying out integral formation in the Roman Catholic tradition. In Fall 2007 the president of the Jesuit School of Theology formed a committee to examine and assess the role of liturgy in the life of the Jesuit School. The committee met during the 2007-2008 academic year, conducted interviews, constructed and distributed an online questionnaire, interpreted the results of the accumulated data, and wrote a “Mission Statement for Liturgy”.

Tuesday Evening Mass and Supper

Each Tuesday evening the Jesuit School community gathers for Eucharist at 5:15 p.m., followed by a soup and salad supper. After supper, students and staff are offered presentations on a variety of topics, many of which touch upon Ignatian spirituality. On an informal level, this “community night” has done much to foster integral formation for many students.
