Harrington Learning Commons, Sobrato Technology Center, and Orradre Library

This facility was built not merely to house library materials and computers, but also to create gathering places for people to use informational, technological, and media resources for teaching, learning, and scholarship. The full range of cutting-edge technology, coupled with knowledgeable human resources, will help visitors find, understand, evaluate, and manipulate information to meet their diverse needs.

Size  194,000 square feet on four levels
Seating  Over 1,100 reader seats in a variety of formats, including carrels, small tables, movable lounge furniture, and outdoor seating in the café and terraces.

  •  70% recycled content in the 135,000 cubic foot concrete slab
