  • Department description The Food and Agribusiness Institute offers courses to MBA and undergraduate students, hosts events and field trips, sends students on immersion trips to developing countries, and supports undergraduate research.
    Qualifications 2.8 GPA or better Demonstrated skill with excel, spreadsheets, charts, graphs Exceptional database skills for compiling and organizing data Proven skilled researcher and data analyst Professional, organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, accurate Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and efficiently within deadline Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with quantitative research experience and/or who have taken research methods and statistics courses Work hours are flexible and determined based on the availability of the student and the needs of the office.
    Duties and responsibilities Job Description: The Research and Projects Assistant will provide research assistance on a variety of projects undertaken by members of the Food & Agribusiness Institute (FAI). To find out more information about the FAI please visit Duties and Responsibilities: The Food & Agribusiness (FAI) Research Assistant will work directly with the Food & Agribusiness Institute faculty and staff on research projects related to food and food insecurity, nutrition, product labeling, urban agriculture and other areas of food and agribusiness. Research assignments will vary and could include both short and long-term projects. This job requires close communication and collaboration with members of the staff and faculty at FAI. The Research Assistant should be able to conduct her/himself in a manner that reflects the maturity and professionalism of working in a business environment with business professionals. The position requires strong analysis and writing skills. Additionally, she/he will be asked to complete routine office assignments as needed.
