  • Department description The Drahmann Advising and Learning Resources Center provides students with many resources, such as academic advising, information about campus resources, and tutoring services. This busy office is where students will pick up and drop off forms to change their academic programs and make requests to overload. The Drahmann Advising and Learning Resources Center strives to provide excellent service to our student body through accurate and informative advice on academic policies and criteria.
    Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty in a helpful and professional manner; ability to work on multiple tasks at once in a high traffic office environment; ability to respect the need for confidentiality of both students and advisors in accordance to FERPA rules, which will be provided to you upon hire; to work independently; use online student records databases, MicroSoft Office (especially Excel), and multi-task as needed.
    Duties and responsibilities To provide clerical support for all facets of the Drahmann Advising Center?s activities which include: making appointments for advisors; preparing advising files and assisting with data entry; answering phones; assisting students and faculty/staff as they come into the office; serving as liaison between students, Drahmann Center advisors and other departments; filing; performing other general office work and long-term assignments as assigned. Hours are based on Drahmann Center office hours of Monday ? Friday from 8:00am ? 5:00pm. Student Assistants will also cross-train to provide clerical and check-in support to the Tutoring Center for tutoring hours: Sunday ? Thursday from 4:00pm - 9:00pm.
