  • Department description The Law School Office of Career Management contains a dynamic team focused on providing Santa Clara Law students and graduates with the resources to help them effectively manage their careers including information regarding career planning, organizing job fairs, and arranging on-campus interviews.
    Qualifications The ideal candidate will have taken coursework or have experience in developing programs designed to build and engage an audience in our social channels. A successful candidate must: ? Have a strong understanding of Social Media universe including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, Flickr, Wikis, Blogs, Pinterest, etc. ? Be passionate about Santa Clara University?s portfolio of Brands. ? Be pursuing a major in marketing, communications or related field. ? Have a proven track record in written communication skill specifically consumer facing (Social Media, Forums, Blogs, Articles, etc). ? Possess the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment. ? Be highly organized, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Be collaborative, creative and flexible work style. Strong leadership, project management and presentation skills. ? Possess excellent reporting and analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail. Demonstrate strong knowledge and thorough understanding of marketing, advertising and promotional principles. ? Be skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
    Duties and responsibilities The successful candidate will play a significant role in the strategic planning, development and ongoing execution of Social Media & Community Management activities for the Career Management Office. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to: ? Develop strategies, tactics and communication plans for the Career Management Office in the social media space. ? Consistently engage and become the ?trusted? voice for our community across all social channels. ? Manage and execute community facing initiatives. ? Work with law school staff to optimize Social Media efforts on a daily basis. ? Working collaboratively with the Career Management team, generate high-quality, creative editorial content and maintain the editorial calendar. ? Identify and evaluate Social Media vendors and technologies for use across Career Management Social Media channels to improve workflow and performance. ? Have your hands on the pulse of the community to identify the ongoing conversations about our department. ? Analyze results to insure that insights are integrated into current and future strategies, as well as develop frameworks to help refine our Social Media strategies. ? Track performance of Social Media marketing programs on an on-going basis to establish best practices. ? Learn about legal career trends, while providing recommendations for Career Management's social media strategy.
