  • Department description The Information Services Assistant is responsible for the daily operations of the Benson Memorial Center?s information desk and must possess a good working knowledge of all events taking place in the building. The Information Services Assistant is responsible for greeting customers and answering any questions, addressing any concerns, answering the phone and assisting callers, providing directions to campus, and processing flex sale transactions. The assistant will also be responsible for daily event set-ups throughout the building, checking in with customers prior to the start of their events, and expediting any impromptu room requests.     Qualifications Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with a wide-range of constituents, detail-oriented, ability to follow-through, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks, team player, ability to work flexible hours throughout the year including holidays and weekends, and must be able to lift 50 pounds
    Duties and responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ?Opening/closing procedures as assigned ?Provide university telephone operator functions. ?Proactively seek, maintain, and inform clients of current and comprehensive information about Santa Clara University events, activities, programs, and offices. ?Process flex sale transactions, store temporary lost and found items, stamp and post fliers for bulletin boards, and provide general assistance to Benson Memorial customers. ?Assist with daily event management including unlocking meeting rooms, room set-ups, and audio visual equipment set-ups for events. ?Initiate and support emergency response procedures as needed by building managers
