Welcome
Weekend is an exciting opportunity for students to learn
about the SCU community, meet other students, and prepare
for the year. Welcome Weekend is designed for all new on-campus
students, commuter students , and transfer students.
Welcome
Weekend is an exciting time when new friendships are made
and old ones are rekindled.
Welcome weekend can also be a stressful time as many parents
rush to gather the last few items their student may need.
We advise parents to take advantage of the many on- campus
resources to alleviate stress. During welcome weekend, the
Get Organized! fair is held on campus near the Benson Center.
This fair brings together many local vendors from nearby stores,
restaurants, and various agencies to help students prepare
for the year. Various offices and campus services will be
onsite as well to answer questions and provide assistance
to all students.

WHAT
TO BRING |
| Packing
for school does not have to be overwhelming! Take a look at
the following list to get a better idea of what your student
will need on campus: |
- Linens:
Sheets, Blankets, pillows, etc. *Beds are Twin XL*
- Towels
and Toiletries: Toothbrush, soap, lotion,
etc.
-
TV: Best to talk to the roommate(s)
first
- Convenience
Appliances: Microwave,
refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.
- Emergency
Supplies: Medication, flashlight, first aid
kit, etc.

Miscellaneous Items: Stuffed animal,
Electronic Games, Board Games

Room Décor: Family photos,
Posters, etc.
