Sponsorship at the de Saisset Museum
Support the arts at Santa Clara
The de Saisset Museum, established in 1955, provides a quality arts experience on the Santa Clara campus. It is one of three South Bay museums accredited by the American Association of Museums, and is open to the public free of charge.
Among the museum’s 11,000-object permanent collection are 100 works by 1880s alumnus and painter Ernest de Saisset as well as extensive holdings in the areas of California history, Mission-era vestments, decorative arts, works on paper and photography, painting and sculpture, and new media.
The de Saisset Museum hosts six to twelve temporary exhibits annually, has docent programs serving elementary school students and the community at large, and permits access to its collections for student and faculty research.
The museum staff actively seeks sponsors for temporary exhibits and educational programs such as Acquisitions for Diversity, which provides SCU students with a behind-the-scenes experience of museum operations and participation in the planning and diversification of de Saisset collections.
