Giving to Santa Clara University

Key Funding Needs

For over 150 years, Santa Clara University has educated men and women for leadership roles in industries and ministries, instilling competence, conscience and compassion in service of the global community. The success of this mission depends on innovation in teaching and learning, made possible through your support.

Buildings and Equipment

SCU Capital Projects Icon

Our campus blends historic buildings and new facilities designed to deliver competitive technologies and resources to the University community. Generous support from corporations and foundations helped build the new home of the Leavey School of Business, Lucas Hall, and the Harrington Learning Commons, Sobrato Technology Center & Orradre Library. Both facilities enable collaborative learning and cross-disciplinary work, attracting talented students while providing launch pads for programs like the Hunger Index and the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

With any capital plan, constant additions to campus facilities are needed to support an evolving, vibrant learning community. Find out how you can help maintain engineering resources, science laboratories or performing arts spaces through new structures and upgrades to existing campus buildings.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Scholarship support is a top priority no matter what the state of the economy. At present, over 70 percent of SCU students receive some form of financial aid. Resources for students with financial needs allow diverse, talented students to pursue a Santa Clara education. Your support can provide expendable or endowed scholarships for an academic specialty (engineering, liberal studies, science, pre-health, etc.), our alumni family, or those with the greatest financial need.

Educating for Global Leadership

Global Education Icon

Engagement with the global community is central to the Jesuit educational tradition. Through international immersion programs and fellowships, Santa Clara students experience different cultures, develop collaborative skills and contribute real-time solutions to underserved communities. From civil engineering undergrads building sustainable structures in northern Ghana (pictured) to students designing their own community-based learning experiences through the Jean Donovan Summer Fellowship, the University's rich tradition of educating men and women for others continues to evolve.

Santa Clara University is part of an international Jesuit higher education network that includes 28 U.S. colleges and universities and more than 100 international institutions. Join our efforts to strengthen these valuable connections with funding for projects and programs that educate for global leadership.

Program and Event Sponsorships

Santa Clara hosts a range of outreach programs that engage students, faculty and the Silicon Valley community in professional growth, sustainable solutions and entrepreneurial endeavors. Your operational support is key to introducing high school students to engineering careers at Summer Engineering Seminars, growing K-12 lessons in healthy living in the Bronco Urban Garden (BUG), and linking emerging social entrepreneurs with professional support through the Global Social Benefit Incubator and California Program for Entrepreneurship (CAPE).
