Daniel Pitt, dean of the School of Engineering, recently traveled to Sydney, Australia, at the invitation of the Australian government, serving as an advisor on a $30 million networking technologies project. The experimental technologies' applications include post-production video houses that contributed special effects to the latest Lord of the Rings film and inland "bush" hospitals whose emergency rooms receive real-time multiple-video direction from specialists in major urban medical centers.
Aleksander Zecevic and Dragoslav Siljak, electrical engineering, presented the results of their research into "smart highways" in a presentation at the Adobe Lodge on Feb. 18. View Grants and Awards |
