Santa Clara University education benefits provide opportunities for personal and educational development for all benefits eligible employees taking Santa Clara University courses for credit. Spouses and children pursuing an academic degree (matriculating) will be granted tuition remission for one degree, either graduate or undergraduate.

FACHEX – Santa Clara University Eligible Faculty & Staff
Established by the Conference of Academic Vice Presidents of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) in 1971, FACHEX is an acronym for Faculty and Staff Children Exchange. It is an undergraduate tuition remission program for children of full time faculty, administrators and staff. Through the FACHEX program, employees who have a tuition remission benefit for their children at Santa Clara University are eligible to apply for the same benefit at participating Jesuit colleges and universities. Eligibility requirements are determined by Santa Clara University.

The general principle is, if Santa Clara University grants a full-tuition remission to the child of a faculty or staff member, then the child is eligible to be considered for the FACHEX benefit. The FACHEX benefit provides only the remission of tuition costs. Students participating in the program are expected to pay all fees and room & board charges assigned by the receiving university or college. Because each participating institution determines the number of FACHEX scholarships it will grant to incoming students each year, there are no guarantees to the children of a given faculty or staff member that they will be able to utilize the FACHEX benefit at the institution of their choice. FACHEX – Other Jesuit Colleges/Universities Eligible Faculty & Staff

Faculty and Staff Children Exchange is an undergraduate tuition remission program for children of full time faculty, administrators and staff. Through the FACHEX program, employees who have a tuition remission benefit for their children at their home institution are eligible to apply for the same benefit at participating Jesuit colleges and universities.

Eligibility requirements are determined by the home institution. The FACHEX benefit provides only the remission of tuition costs. Students participating in the program are expected to pay all fees and room & board charges assigned by Santa Clara University. Santa Clara University determines the number of FACHEX scholarships that they will grant to incoming students each year. There are no guarantees to the children of a given faculty or staff member that they will be able to utilize the FACHEX benefit at Santa Clara University.
