Early Action Applicants
If you are considering early action, you have probably found that Santa Clara University is the environment that really matches up with your interests and needs. We want to make it possible for early action students to enroll, so we do our best to provide attractive financial aid packages.
Steps to apply for financial aid
1. File a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE by November 15. Santa Clara University's CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE® code is 4851. Based on the information you provide in the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE and your Admission application, we will respond to you with an estimated financial aid award.
2. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between January 1 and February 1. Santa Clara University's federal school code is 001326. We highly recommend that you submit the FAFSA online. Prior to filing online, you and one of your parents must obtain a Federal Student Aid Personal Identification Number (PIN) through the U.S. Department of Education.
NOTE: You do not need to file your 2013 federal income tax return prior to completing a 2014-15 FAFSA. Estimate your income on the FAFSA to the best of your ability. Once you have completed your 2013 federal income tax return, you will need to revise your 2014-15 FAFSA information through FAFSA on the Web.
3. California Residents: submit a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form to be considered for the Cal Grant program. The GPA Verification Form must be completed and postmarked by March 2.
