Ethnic Studies Annual Seniors' Reception

Matt Meier Prize

Each year, the Ethnic Studies Program encourages students to submit a research paper/essay dealing with Ethnicity/Race issues for the Matt Meier Prize.  A plaque and monetary prize are awarded to the recipient(s) whose work is judged to be the most outstanding.  The recipient of the Matt Meier prize will be announced at the May 6th, 2014 Ethnic Studies Seniors' Reception.  For more information about the guidelines for submission, please contact us.

Ethnic Studies Club

During the Winter 2004 Quarter, the Ethnic Studies Club was formed to build unity amongst the Ethnic Studies minors. The Club is geared towards increasing communication between students and faculty in an effort to continue to develop a strong Ethnic Studies Program. If you're interested in being part of the Club please contact us. 

Cedric Busette Award

On October 4, 1996 the Cedric Busette Memorial Award was established to honor the memory of Professor Cedric Busette for his outstanding commitment to the Ethnic Studies Program, his dedication to the goals of a Jesuit education, and his role as a mentor for Ethnic Studies minors. If you would like to nominate an Ethnic Studies Minor or a member of SCU community for outstanding contributions to the Ethnic Studies Program, please send nominations and a brief supporting statement to: Ethnic Studies Program by April 14th, 2014.  The recipient of the Cedric Busette Award will be announced at the May 6th, 2014 Ethnic Studies Seniors' Reception.

Ethnic Studies SENIORS' Reception

A reception will be held at the end of each academic year in honor of the graduating Ethnic Studies minors. This year's reception will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in the Williman Room from4:00-6:00PM. If you would like more information about the reception please contact us .
