Interest in and use of AI technology to create artwork and generate written content has exploded recently as social media users are using websites and apps such as Lenza and ChatGPT from OpenAI to create images and content.
NBC Bay Area reporter, Scott Budman, spoke with Brian Green, director, technology ethics, about this fast-growing industry.
"We are definitely in a very exciting time in the development of artificial intelligence, it's becoming really really sophisticated at this point"
But the benefits also pose new challenges.
"If we have students who have the ability to go online and just have AI write an essay for them, we are going to need to have a new way to evaluate students."
