At the CenterResume InflationMonday, Mar. 5, 2012According to a survey by CareerBuilder.com, 49 percent of hiring managers reported they caught candidates lying on their resumes. The temptation to do so is exacerbated in this time of high unemployment. The Ethics Center's Big Q Project, an online dialog for undergraduates about the ethical dilemmas in their everyday lives, takes on the issue of resume inflation in a two-week contest for the best student comment on the case of a graduating senior who is contemplating stretching the truth about her accomplishments. The prize is a $100 Amazon Gift Certificate.
