Art CourvilleFormer Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Symantec Corporation
Prior to retiring on October 31, 2009, Art Courville was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Symantec Corporation, a global leader in providing security, storage and systems management software for consumers and businesses. His career with Symantec spanned more than 15 years, starting in 1993 as the third attorney in Symantec's legal department, including a period as the director of product management for Symantec's Internet Tools business unit, and continuing through his appointment as vice president and general counsel in 1999. Prior to his career at Symantec, Art was a business attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Mr. Courville received his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley and also received an MBA from the Haas School of Business. Mr. Courville also has a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University.
