Non-Degree Programs

To remain competitive in Silicon Valley's changing environment, engineers need to update their knowledge base. The School of Engineering provides busy working professionals in Silicon Valley with various education options to match their personal needs and working schedules, including:

  • Full-time and part-time certificate programs which could be completed in as short as 6 months
  • Open University – take only the courses you are interested in
  • One-Day Emerging Topic programs focusing on a single technology topic; attendees earn a Certificate of Attendance upon completion

To accommodate our students' busy working and internship schedules, all our graduate engineering classes are held outside of normal business hours, with early morning classes at 7:10 AM-9:00 AM, evening classes starting at 5:10 PM and 7:00 PM, as well as weekend classes. Our students can complete the program at their own pace.

Program Benefits:

  • Develop skills that are needed to meet the practical and theoretical challenges posed by new technological advances in your current field.
  • Become an expert in a new area or pursue a fresh career path.
  • Up to 16 units of eligible course work in the non-degree program can be transferred to a degree program.
