
Bioengineering hosted a seminar on April 25, “Theory and Practice of Deep Brain Stimulation,” by Dr. Eric E. Sabelman (Dept. of Neurosurgery - Kaiser Permanente Medical Center). This is the third of the seven bioengineering research seminars scheduled for the Spring quarter. Topics of the two previous seminars were on “Innovation Principles”, by speaker Jay Elliot, Founder/CEO of NUVEL (former senior VP of Apple), and “Development of Biofuel Cells Using Synthetic Biology Tools,” by Lital Alfonta, Professor of Biotechnology Engineering, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Beer-Sheva, Israel, and Visiting Professor at UCSD Bioengineering.
