Scholarships Available1. Bernadette M. Allen Endowed Scholarship - This scholarship was established in 2003 by Bernadette M. Allen, a friend of Santa Clara University, to provide financial assistance to needy undergraduate and graduate students with a preference for students in the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries. 2. Kenneth Blaker Endowed Scholarship Fund - This scholarship was established on June 12, 2007. The gift is from the SCU alumni, students, staff, faculty, and friends. This purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to needy Counseling Psychology students. Students will apply for this award on an annual basis. The Counseling Psychology faculty will select the recipients based on their academic achievement and their professional commitment. Apply for Scholarship » 3. Mary R. Boyce Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship was established on August 30, 2007 by the estate of Mary R. Boyce. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students, with a preference towards female students enrolled in the Graduate Program of Pastoral Ministries. 4. Edwin Brown Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship is for full time students obtaining their multiple or single subject credential. Apply for Scholarship » 5. Charles J. Dirksen Memorial Scholarship: this scholarship was established in 2000 for the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries. Preference will be given to Pastoral Ministries students with financial need. Fellows Foundation Scholarship: This scholarship was established in 1981 by the Estate of Triscilla Fellows Foundation to provide financial assistant to deserving Education and Counseling Psychology students. Anita Goble Endowed Education Scholarship: This scholarship was established on November 6, 2007 by Anita Goble and her daughter Dr. Cheryl MeElvain, a lecturer for the Department of Education. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships for master degree students pursing research with any full-time faculty member. 8. Janice M. Kyne Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship was established on July 31, 2007 by Mr. Jack Kyne in memory of his wife, to provide financial assistance to graduate students enrolled in the Special Education program. Candidates must have completed at least nine units of work in Special Education with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 and must demonstrate financial need. 9. Jim & Pauline Mahon Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship was established in 1988 by Lee Mahon, Ed.D., to provide financial assistance for a graduate student who has been accepted into the Educational Administration program. Applicant must demonstrate a futuristic vision for education and strong commitment to the field of administration; must demonstrate a genuine caring for children and a strong sense of the value of education. Apply for Scholarship » 11. Pastoral Ministries Scholarship: This scholarship was set up to provide scholarship for students in the Graduate Program of Pastoral Ministries. 12. James W. Trent Education Scholarship: This scholarship was established on September 24, 2007 by Gretchen Trent in loving memory of her husband, James W. Trent, who as a member of the Class of 1955. He also taught summer school at SCU in the 1980's. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who exhibit an exceptionally high commitment to education, broadly embracing and serving their communities. Preference will be given to underrepresented minority graduate students or to graduate students who were first generation college students. 13. Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program: The Santa Clara University (SCU) Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, with funding from the National Science Foundation, aims to prepare a total of twenty-four new science and mathematics teachers who are committed to teaching at the middle or high school level in two neighboring high-need school districts, East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) and San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD). This scholarship is specifically for Math/Science/Engineering majors completing their final year of undergraduate coursework before pursuing a secondary teaching credential to teach math or science.
