School of Education and Counseling Psychology Financial Aid Applicants

Any student interested in being considered for a scholarship or grant must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). www.fafsa.ed.gov  Santa Clara University School Code: 001326

University financial aid (such as loan opportunites) can be obtained from the University Financial Aid Office (408-554-4505).

Tuition and Fees: Current tuition costs and fees.

Tuition Insurance: Insurance plans to protect against loss of tuition.

Education Grants/Scholarships

  • Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program: The Santa Clara University (SCU) Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, with funding from the National Science Foundation, aims to prepare a total of twenty-four new science and mathematics teachers who are committed to teaching at the middle or high school level in two neighboring high-need school districts, East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) and San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD).
  • Tuition Scholarships for the San Jose Diocese Employees. A 20 percent tuition scholarship is available for full-time teachers, counselors, and administrators employed by the Diocese of San Jose who are taking graduate courses in the School. Tuition scholarship applies to degree and nondegree students.

Loan Forgiveness Options
Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE).
   Application forms for the APLE and further school information may be obtained from the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator (408) 554-7884. Forms for 2009-2010 will be posted when available.

Grants
The Federal Government is now offering the TEACH grant.  This is $4,000 for a full time graduate student.  Interested students should contact the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator (408) 554-7884.

March 15 - FAFSA due (priority of Aid is given to those who submit information by March 15. Applications will be accepted after the deadline)
May 15 - Forms are due for Summer/Fall/Winter/Spring awards
July 15  - Forms due for Fall/Winter/Spring awards
November 15 - Forms due for Winter/Spring awards
January 15 - Scholarship forms are due
