The SCU Certificate in Catholic School Leadership is the first step for Catholic school teachers who want to advance their career and become effective educational leaders. Designed for credentialed teachers who are working in a Catholic K-12 school, this program is uniquely tailored to provide individuals with a strong foundation in school leadership and administration, but with a Catholic emphasis. Students engage with high quality instructors, including university faculty and administrators in the Catholic school community, who have years of experience working in Catholic schools.

The SCU Certificate in Catholic School Leadership is independent of the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Arts in Educational Administration, but it is often paired with these programs, as all 30 units apply toward the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and the Master of Arts in Educational Administration.

Graduates of this program are prepared for leadership positions in Catholic K-12 school administration. Our recent graduates are currently employed as principals, assistant principals, education program directors, teacher leaders, and intervention specialists.
