Ongoing Collections Care

The de Saisset Museum houses more than 11,000 objects in its permanent collection. With a collection that includes historical artifacts, liturgical vestments, decorative arts, works on paper, painting and sculpture, and new media, a great deal of care and preservation is required.
The Collections Volunteers are an integral part of the de Saisset's efforts toward collections care. They meet every Wednesday afternoon to assist the Collections Manager with projects such as inventory and object housing. Today, the de Saisset Museum has three dedicated Collections Volunteers, all of whom have supported our efforts for at least fifteen years.
