Emerging Leaders ProgramThe Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a two-unit course where you learn from and collaborate with others. You'll think about a number of questions. What is leadership? What kind of leader am I? What skills and characteristics do I need to lead with competence, conscience, and compassion? Who should participate? First-year undergraduate students. What will you learn? Acquire confidence and new perspectives to shape your understanding of leadership, citizenship, and service. Gain a deeper sense of who you are and how you can become an active citizen. How will you learn it? Explore leadership through class discussions, leadership inventories, readings, reflection papers, and experiential activities. Your knowledge will then be applied in a group service project. |
