"What are you giving up?" For many of us who are Christian and grew up in a certain age, that question summed up our Lenten experience. Fortunately, we have reclaimed a richer sense of the Lenten and Easter seasons. Read More...

Feasting and Fasting
Before we fast, we feast! Join us on Tuesday, February 12 for our seventh annual Mardi Gras party. Our sole purpose during this celebration is to have fun, so come join us and unwind for a few minutes. We'll have pancakes and other fixins. You bring a festive spirit and we'll bring the fun!

The Catholic observance of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 13. There are five opportunities to receive ashes on that day. There are many opportunities to deepen your prayer through Lenten offerings from Campus Ministry, from Facebook posts and the Reaching Within Blog to sharing a meal with friends to praying with others as you walk across campus.

Lent Highlights
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent. It reminds us that "you are dust and unto dust you shall return." At all of our services there will be an opportunity to receive ashes from a minister. Catholic liturgies are at 7:30 am, 12:05 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm. A shared Catholic and Protestant service is at 4 pm.
Weekly Wednesday Worship is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gather weekly in the Multifaith Sanctuary for a diverse array of prayer, reflection and worship experiences. The Lenten schedule is below.
- February 20: The Challenge: Lenten Spirituality
- February 27: eXaLT (Eucharistic Adoration)
- March 6: Reconciliation Service (Mission Church)
- March 13: Way of the Cross

Simple Meals
A time to share a meal with friends, discuss your faith journey, and learn something new. This year we will focus on finding God in art, image, and movement. Every Friday at 1 pm during Lent (2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15).
Feeling like you need a little extra support? Campus Ministry receives prayer requests from you, which are held in prayer by a team of students that meets weekly. If you'd like, you can request that a campus minister contact you.

For more than thirty years, Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl has called participants to pray with their families and faith communities, fast in solidarity with those who hunger, learn about our global community and the challenges of poverty overseas, and give sacrificial contributions to those in need.

Devotionals
We have a small number of devotional prayer resources available for students. You can pick them up at Sunday evening Masses on February 10 or in the Campus Ministry office anytime thereafter.
We will post daily food for thought, prayer, and action on our Facebook page and through the Flocknote network. Don't miss helpful daily reminders of the season as you welcome God this season.
