The University announced on Monday that it is working with law enforcement to investigate an intrusion into its computerized academic record system, that resulted in a limited number of undergraduate students having their grades changed. This weekend a group of 17 students and 2 staff members is participating in the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice in Washington, D.C. The Teach-In is an opportunity for members of Jesuit institutions and partners to gather for learning, prayer, networking and legislative advocacy on Capitol Hill.  This year's theme is "The Gritty Reality: Feel It, Think It, Engage It." Join Zen Teacher, Sarita Tamayo-Moraga, for an introduction to Christian centering prayer and mindfulness meditation.

This is a 2 unit, Pass/No Pass course that offers an introduction and discussion of basic beliefs, practices, and characteristics of the Catholic tradition. It will be taught by Fr. Mick McCarthy, Lulu Santana, and Greg Schultz.

We would like to welcome Clement Chee as our Catholic Relief Services Campus Ambassador.  Clement will be working with the Xavier Residential Learning Community on monthly educational projects, as well as organizing our campus-wide Operation Rice Bowl campaign.

The SCU community remembers Assistant Prof. Dan Strickland. An on-campus service will be held in the Mission Church at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 28.
