Stepping away from the patterns of daily life creates the space and time for reflection and growth in one's spiritual journey. Campus Ministry invites the university community to participate in a variety of retreat experiences throughout the year. Each retreat has a unique focus, ranging from contemplation and discernment to fellowship.

  • iconFirst Year Retreat

    October 16-18, 2015

    Join us for the First Year Retreat at at Camp Redwood in the Santa Cruz Mountains! This retreat invites retreatants and leaders to reflect on three foundational themes:

    • Belonging
    • Believing 
    • Becoming

  • iconSenior Retreat

    Senior Retreat is an intentional time to discern and question the topics of community, relationships, career aspirations, matters of faith, family dynamics and one's sense of vocation.

  • iconIgnatian Retreat

    Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to participate in this dynamic, silent 5-day retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.

  • iconSearch Retreats

    November 6-8 2015
    Camp Redwood, Santa Cruz Mountains

    Offered for undergraduate students by fellow student leaders, the Search Retreat is an opportunity for spiritual growth that encourages a deeper understanding of the life of faith through the experience of community and individual reflection.

    The cost of the retreat is $75.  To apply for the November Search Retreat, please complete the online application.  Spots fill quickly, so sign up early!

    For those students who have a financial hardship, scholarships are available. Please complete the Retreat Scholarship Application to receive a scholarship.

  • iconSilent Retreat

    Santa Clara University's Examen Silent Retreat is a contemplative weekend of silence, intended to allow space to gently enter in the Daily Examen prayer, as established by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Components of the retreat include confidential, individual meetings with a retreat director, group conference talks on the movements of the Examen, liturgy, and group prayer.
