A Legacy of Love and Justice
Monday, February 9, 4:00-5:15pm, St. Clare Room
Professor Ana Maria Pineda (Religious Studies) and Juan Velasco (English Department) will commemorate the 34th anniversary of the death of Archbishop Oscar Romero and the 37th anniversary of the death of Rutilio Grande, S.J. Romero and Grande were friends and companions on a journey of solidarity and justice for the poor of El Salvador. The commemoration will include poetry reading, art, reflections of their spiritual journey, a remembering of their lives and a celebration of their memory.
Rabbi Abraham Skorka Discussion

Rabbi Skorka was in conversation with Pope Francis when they both lived in Buenos Aires. Come join us for Rabbi Abraham Skorka’s lecture, sponsored by the Bannan Institute. Whether you have read the book or not, liked it or not, the gathering will give students the opportunity to raise questions, concerns, and hopes for living one’s faith within the Catholic tradition. Men's Group Service Trip
Calling all SCU men! Come join SCU's newest group on Friday, February 13th from 6-7:30pm for an evening of service, brotherhood, and bonding. We will be going to St. James Park in Downtown San Jose and having dinner with the homeless there, followed by some group bonding and reflection. Sunday, February 15: There will be no 6 p.m. liturgy on this day. There will still be a 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. liturgy.
Ash Wednesday, February 18: There will be Catholic Masses at 7:30 a.m., 12:05 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. There will be a shared Protestant and Catholic service at 4 p.m.
Lenten Reconciliation Liturgy

Come pray and experience God’s mercy and forgiveness. Campus Minister John Michael Reyes will be presiding and preaching. There will be an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation, or a chance for sacred conversation.
