    SEARCH Retreat
    The Search retreat is a fun, interactive, spiritually enriching weekend where you have the opportunity to deepen in your knowledge of self, connections with others, and relationship with God.     Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
    Interested in exploring your faith within the Catholic Church? Current SCU students are welcomed to inquire about becoming Catholic or completing one's Catholic initiation through the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and/or Confirmation. For more information, contact Lulu Santana.

    Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

    The Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice is an annual gathering for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit institutions and larger church) to come together in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together.     Junipero Serra Mass
    Sunday, September 30, 2012, 1 p.m. in the Mission Church
    Bishop Thomas Daly of the San Jose Diocese and the Serra Club will be celebrating a Mass ushering in the 300th Anniversary Year of Fr. Junipero Serra's birth (Nov. 24, 1713). All are welcome.

    Mass of the Holy Spirit
    Wednesday, October 3, 12 p.m., Mission Church
    The Mass will be followed by a picnic lunch on the St. Ignatius Lawn
    All students, staff and faculty are invited to join in our community-wide celebration of the new academic year. Together we continue a centuries-old tradition in Jesuit colleges and universities and call on the Spirit of God to inspire all our works, activities and studies. Grateful for the religious diversity in our community, we welcome members of all faith traditions to gather together at this special Catholic liturgy.

    Faith and Spirituality Fair
    October 3, 2012, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., Santa Clara Mall (between Kenna and Benson)
    Local churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and other religious or spiritual communities and student religious clubs, will be tabling to answer questions and share information about their communities of faith. For more information, contact Rev. Aimee Moiso.
     
    Winter Break Immersions
    Due Wednesday, October 3 at 3:00 p.m
    The Ignatian Center is now accepting applications for the immersion trips that will occur in December. Winter Break Immersions include: Lima, Peru; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Oakland, California. Detailed information and the online application can be found at the linked page.     Post-graduate volunteer opportunities
    The Catholic Volunteer Network will have a representative present after the 9 pm Mass on September 30 to speak to students interested in post-graduate volunteer network. Contact Erica Stewart at recruiter2@catholicvolunteernetwork.org with questions.

    St. Joseph Workers are women who commit to a year of service exploring justice, leadership for social change, spirituality, intentional community, living simply and developing their skills. Sr. Judy will be available after Mass on September 30.
