Theresa Ladrigan-WhelpleyDirector of Resident Ministry, Vocation DiscernmentGreetings! I am excited to be in my fourth year on the Santa Clara Campus Ministry team, where I serve as the Director of Resident Ministry and Campus Minister for Vocational Discernment. As Director of Resident Ministry I provide leadership and formation for the twelve Resident Ministers on campus, and as Associate Campus Minister for Vocational Discernment I help to organize the annual DISCOVER discernment retreat for undergraduate students and serve as a resource for DISCOVER discernment small groups on campus. Through these specific offerings and many everyday conversations, I enjoy accompanying students, staff, and faculty around questions of ultimate meaning and purpose, attending to how our unique gifts and the world’s particular needs meet in the details of our lives.I received my B.S.H. in Biology from Villanova University and my M.Div. from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University and am currently working on my Ph.D. in Christian Spirituality at the Graduate Theological Union and my S.T.L. in Christian Spirituality at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Previously I have served in both pastoral ministry and teaching at the university, high school, and parish levels. I have been married for six years to my husband Andy and we stay very active with the help of our one-year-old twin boys, Sam and Ben.
