Fr. Manh Tran S.J.Director of Christian Life CommunityI came to the U.S. when I was fourteen. Since then I lived in southern California during my high school and college years until I joined the Jesuits in 1993. During my Jesuit formation, I had opportunities to study Philosophy at Loyola University of Chicago and Theology at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. I also had opportunities to work with abused women and children, the sick, the homeless, inner-city children in Chicago, and prisoners at San Quentin. I taught religious studies and music at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix. After being ordained in 2004, I worked as a Campus Minister with a focus on Christian Life Community (CLC). Now I’m here at Santa Clara University to rejuvenate the CLC program. I enjoy hiking, biking, playing soccer and basketball, playing guitar, and watching movies. |
