Rev. Aimee Moiso

Director of Ecumenical and Interfaith Ministries

Hello! My name is Aimee Moiso, and I'm a Presbyterian minister and coordinator of our diverse offerings for students of varied religious traditions. Part of my time is devoted to working with Protestant students and students of other Christian traditions, like Eastern and Oriental Orthodox. I also advise clubs like Core Christian Fellowship, Christians In Action, and Wonderfully Made.

In addition, I work with the SCU Interfaith Council to broaden understanding and engagement with many religions, like Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. I'm particularly interested in facilitating dialogue across our various traditions, through which we can all learn from one another and gain a deeper understanding of our own roots.

I'm originally from Portland, Oregon, and a graduate of Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. After college, I worked for several years at the anti-hunger advocacy organization Bread for the World in Washington, DC. I then attended San Francisco Theological Seminary where I received my Masters of Divinity and preparation for ordination in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). During 2006-2007, I lived in Geneva, Switzerland, and finished a masters degree at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute, a program of the World Council of Churches and the University of Geneva.

I love to travel the globe (though I hate jet lag!), eat Italian food (especially while in Italy), enjoy a good cup of coffee, bake yummy treats, hike and bike, try my hand at sewing and various crafts, and watch reruns of The West Wing ? and often do more than one of these activities at the same time!
