Requirements for the Major

The Engineering Physics (EP) curriculum includes breadth and depth in both physics and engineering. Each EP student chooses his or her exact curriculum in consultation with the EP program coordinator.  Engineering Physics Major detailed curriculum requirements.

The major includes (a) foundation courses in physics, math, chemistry and areas of engineering, and (b) a cluster of five courses focused in a specific technical area, chosen by the student. The current course cluster areas include:

- Computation
- Electronics
- Mechanical
- Solid State
- Materials Science

In addition to fulfilling University Core Curriculum requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics, students must complete the following departmental requirements
