The Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries at Santa Clara University is honored to have a long-standing and fruitful association with the Diocese of San Jose. The Diocese has been a strong supporter of the Program since its founding in 1983. Currently, the candidates for the Permanent Diaconate as well as the trainees for the Diocesan Advance Lay Leadership program receive their theological training in the Graduate Program.

We are especially indebted to Bishop Patrick J. McGrath. His support and participation in classes and workshops for the Program is a great asset.
