Biographical Information

Marc Accornero was born in Los Angeles. He is of Mexican- and Italian-American heritage, a foundation on which he has continually built through educational, artistic and professional activities at home and abroad.

Mr. Accornero has acquired in-depth academic and professional experience in the literature, history, drama, music and art of Spain, Latin America, Portugal, Italy, France and Germany. His education includes the University of California at Los Angeles and Berkeley; the University of Madrid, Spain; the Goethe Institute, Munich, Germany; the San Francisco Conservatory of Music; and the Franz Schubert Institute, Baden-bei-Wien, Austria.

Mr. Accornero taught at Stanford University, University of California at Santa Cruz, San Francisco City College and at Mission College, where he was the Coordinator of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese and the Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages. He currently teaches Spanish, Italian and Music at West Valley College in Saratoga and is Adjunct Lecturer in Spanish in the Modern Languages Department at Santa Clara University.
