This minor is recommended for students from diverse majors who are interested in careers that involve working directly with children and families from multicultural and multifaceted backgrounds. Urban Education would be a good choice for those considering careers in K‐12 teaching, public policy, social work, school psychology or related fields, etc.

Requirements for the Urban Education minor

Students must complete the following seven requirements for a minor in urban education:

• LBST 70
• LBST 106
• LBST 138 (not offered in 2013)
  
• LBST 198A/B
• PSYC 134
• PSYC 185 or 172
