  •  Working Writers Brown Bag

    November 18th, 2015, 11:45am - 1:00pm at St. Joseph's Hall 309. What do teachers want out of group writing assignments? What do students get out of them? Professor Julia Voss will explore different models of collaboration and metacognitive frameworks to bring student and faculty learning goals for collaborative writing tasks into closer alignment.

  •  Dànielle Nicole DeVoss: Winter Writing Studies Colloquium

    February 3rd, 2016, 12:15pm-1:30pm at St. Clare Room. In this presentation, I’ll demonstrate how digital writing matters, sharing student work constructed within a vertical writing curriculum. We’ll talk about pedagogical practices as well as implications beyond our classrooms to help us imagine how digital writing can matter at Santa Clara University.
  •  Dànielle Nicole DeVoss: Winter Writing Studies Workshop

    February 4, 2016, 12:30pm-2:00pm at Library Lab 205. In this workshop, for faculty across disciplines we will focus on brainstorming activities and projects that engage students in producing multimodal work. We will look at student work and related tools for evaluating student multimodal work. Workshop participants will leave with a set of helpful teacherly resources (including links, assignment ideas, and readings). Attendees can use lab computers or bring their own devices.
