Dr. Maura Tarnoff

Maura Tarnoff received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, where she specialized in late medieval and early modern English literature. She has taught courses in medieval and early modern literature and culture, women’s studies, poetry, world literature, and rhetoric and composition at the University of Virginia, Macalester College, and Saint Louis University’s Madrid Campus. Her current research focuses on early modern disability studies and she has published articles on poetic fame and the domestic arts in the poetry of John Skelton, wonder in Shakespeare’s Pericles, and disabilities studies approaches to Shakespeare in performance.
