Dr. Brandon Gordon

Quarterly Adjunct Lecturer

Brandon Gordon received his Ph.D. in English from UC Irvine in 2012, where he specialized in nineteenth-through twenty-first-century American, African American and Ethnic literature. His research focuses on poverty, the welfare state, and sentimental writing. Before coming to Santa Clara University, he taught courses at San Francisco and Sonoma State University on American modernism, contemporary ethnic literature, and first-year writing. He is excited to be teaching courses in both “Culture and Ideas” and “Critical Thinking and Writing” at Santa Clara this year.
