    Sam's Swan Song Alumni Show

    To celebrate the years worked at SCU, Sam Hernandez will exhibit his last Swan Song Alumni show this Fall quarter. His student's work will consist of an exhibition of 37 years with pieces left behind as well as documentary photos that he has critiqued over the years.

  •  Hearst Grant Awarded to the Department of Art & Art History

    We have exciting news! The Department of Art and Art History has received a generous grant from the Hearst Foundation to support a variety of arts outreach programs over the next three to four years.  The Community Initiatives for the Visual Arts grant ("CIVA") focuses on funding five key areas: (1) summer fellowships for sudents who undertake internships at local arts organization (2) special projects, such as student curatorial activities or social justice courses; (3) more courses in the summer for OSHER members (4) purchasing art for the university (5) exploring opportunities with the Leavey School of Business for expanded course offerings, such as classes in museum studies and arts management.
