• One-On-One Counseling

  A dedicated career counselor is available for many career management issues. Please call (408) 554-4421 to schedule an in-person or telephone appointment with Anne Oja, Assistant Director for Alumni.
  

  Given our current economy, this service is free for the first year after graduation. A $50 an hour fee is charged thereafter. The fee may be waived for those returning from Year-of-Service and in other special circumstances.

  Some of the topics you may wish to explore:

  • Self-assessment to help you evaluate new career directions. Common assessments include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) ©, the Strong Interest Inventory ©, and Values Driven Work ™.
  • Job search strategies and tactics to facilitate a transition.
  • Creating a powerful and focused resume.
  • Interviewing and negotiating effectively.
  • Resolving issues at your current workplace to help you advance.

• Ten Minute Tips

  Do you have a quick question about your career or job search?  Anne Oja, Assistant Director for Alumni, has reserved some time each Wednesday to answer your questions.   Just fill in the form on the next page, submit it, and a reply will be sent to your e-mail address.

• Group Workshops

  Several times a year, the Career Center offers career management workshops created specifically for alumni. These are announced in alumni broadcast e-mails, posted on the Career Corner group on inCircle, and listed on both the Career Center and Alumni Association calendars.
